Sacramento is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Traffic in Sacramento peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I’ve had a mixed experience. We adopted a 3 month old kitten, who we were told was recovering from illness. We didn’t know the type of illness, and they hadn’t tested the kitten for anything, but assured us she was on the mend and it wasn’t serious enough for them to suggest isolating our other cats. Cut to a few weeks later and she was sick with Bordetella, chlamydia and mycoplasma. Thankfully all bacterial infections but we had to pay out of our own pocket for her to get tested and see what she was sick with. I asked for financial help from Cats About Town and they were able to assist partially. She unfortunately has had a relapse after a long month of antibiotics for the whole house, and now we have to isolate her again and monitor our other cats and pay for more antibiotics. Kittens can get easily sick, that’s understood. And I appreciate this organization for helping me, but it’s a problem they didn’t properly diagnose or disclose, and it put our other cats at risk. They offered to take her back to get her β€œall healed” but I was wary of how effective that would be since she still came to us sick. It is on a shelter to disclose all relevant medical history of a cat, and to te

We tried a few shelters, but just happen to stop at Petsmart. We text the number on the door and within 15 mins Cheryl was by to show the kittens. Cheryl was wonderful! My daughter decided on Panther(turned Carl) and he’s been a wonderful addition to our family. You can tell all of the kittens were wonderfully taken care of and socialized. We recommend this wonderful organization!

My Mama kitty was having serious teeth issues and I knew she would need multiple teeth removed. Her regular vet quoted us a few thousand dollars to remove them and that was not feasible for us. We found this organization through research and gave them a call. From the first phone call I knew that she would be in great hands. Suna answered all of my questions and was so kind. Her surgery was scheduled and from start to finish they were very great at communication every step of the way and were so delicate with her. I recommend to anyone who loves their fur babies and wants great care. Mama is thriving and eating everything in site. Thank you to all at Cats About Town, I greatly appreciate the services you provided for us.

I learned about Cats About Town through my veterinarian when my cat was diagnosed with stomatitis, an autoimmune condition that often requires a full-mouth extraction to relieve significant pain. After contacting several providers, I was quoted between $3,000 and $5,000, with no firm estimate until surgery was underway. Cats About Town offered a much more affordable option at $850 (includes $150 for bloodwork due to my cat's age), which made this necessary procedure accessible for me. My cat had surgery last week and is already doing really well. I'm looking forward to his full recovery and seeing him live without the constant pain he had been experiencing. Suna and Elaine were incredibly kind and clearly passionate about animals. Suna was able to schedule my cat quickly given the urgency of his condition, which was such a relief. I highly recommend Cats About Town to anyone looking for a compassionate, effective, and affordable option for veterinary dental care.

I had a wonderful experience with Cats About Town Society and their dental program. I brought my 14-year-old cat Saimon in for a dental cleaning, and I was honestly very nervous at first β€” but the entire process was smooth, organized, and professional. They were very kind, responsive, and took the time to answer all my questions. The pricing was transparent and incredibly helpful compared to traditional vet clinics. Saimon received great care, and I was so relieved that everything went well β€” his teeth were cleaned and no extractions were needed. He is already feeling much better. I’m very grateful for this program. It truly helps pet owners who want to take care of their animals but might struggle with the high cost of dental procedures. Thank you so much for helping Saimon!
